Another question popped up – How often do you walk or run? Personally, I go for a 30-minute jog at least 4 times a week and try to walk at least 10,000 steps daily. Since 2015, I have been maintaining this routine as a minimum, with some more intense periods whenever possible.
To me, going for a refreshing 30-minute jog makes a lot more of a difference than unwinding on the couch or drinking coffee. At the same time, I see it as basic physical maintenance for my body. I see my body as a machine that needs to be well-maintained in order to function as long as possible.
I really like jogging. When I was a kid, my dad used to force me to go jogging, which I really hated at that time as I perceived it as some sort of punishment. We had endless arguments and conflicts about it, and until I moved out, jogging was really not something I liked. However, when I moved out for university and relocated to another town, I found myself going on jogs more regularly, like weekly.
However, it was only in 2015 when I started taking it more seriously, and since then, I jog 4 times a week no matter what. Of course, if I am sick or extremely exhausted, have jet lag, or anything else, I won’t go, but under normal circumstances, I go at least 4 times. In times when I don’t have time for the gym (besides my clients, projects and family), I increase jogging and switch to free-weight exercises, which are pleasant to do, don’t take too much time, and overall have great health benefits.
I really recommend it to everyone; it makes a huge difference!
